Soundview Ski Bus FAQ
WHERE DO I FIND BUS PICK-UP/DROP OFF INFORMATION?
All bus pick-up and drop-off information is available on the Mohan website under "School Programs." If you have any questions, please confirm directly with your Program Coordinator!
CAN MY KIDDOS EAT ON THE BUS?
Our incredible transportation partners ask that NO FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED on the bus – only water. We recommend eating before the bus load-in, or on the mountain via the many Summit Dining Options. Please note that the Summit is CARD & APPLE PAY ONLY – NO CASH. So please plan accordingly!
LIFT TICKES & SEASON PASSES FOR SNOQUALMIE
Lift tickets are not included with your Mohan Lesson registration. We highly recommend purchasing the Summit Pass, which provides unrestricted access all season to Summit Central (where we operate), West, and East. For Friday students who will only ski on Friday nights with Mohan, the Twilight Pass is a great option. Please be sure to read the explanation of the passes before purchasing. It MUST be valid for the lesson day, time, and location for which the student is registered.
You may pre-purchase lift ticket season passes on the Summit Website. Buying a Season Pass saves you money if you use it 6-7 times. The deadline for purchasing a student season pass is January 15th. If the summit is sold-out and you are registered with the Snowsports Program, Mohan Staff will provide a waiver through January 1st to purchase a pass. You will NOT be able to purchase your pass or tickets in person on the mountain. However, if you need the summit to reissue your pass, they will do so for a $5 Fee at customer service. Purchase your pass early for savings! Summer and early fall deals are available on the Summit website.
MY KIDDOS DON’T WANT TO RIDE UP FOR THE SEASON, BUT THEY WANT TO BE ABLE TO JOIN FOR 1-2 SESSIONS OF THE FRIDAY NIGHT SNOWSPORTS PROGRAM. IS THAT POSSIBLE?
If there is a vacant seat on one the buses, the Program Coordinator may sell $85 single ride tickets to anyone wishing the single day transportation option.
All Single Rider requests must be directed to the Mohan Program Manager at programmanagement@skimohan.com 48 HRS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE for payment processing / paperwork.
All Single Riders will be issued a payment link and will be required to sign the Mohan Rules & Guidelines. If paid/approved, the Program Manager will alert the Snowsports Program Coordinator of the addition to the Bus.

WHEN WILL I KNOW WHICH CLASS MY CHILD/CHILDREN HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED TO?
We will notify you via email the week before the lessons begin.
I DON’T WANT TO PURCHASE A SEASONS PASS CAN I JUST BUY LIFT TICKETS FOR THE DAYS OF THE LESSONS?
Absolutely! If you know your child won’t be up at the mountain other than the days they have lessons with us it might be more cost effective to purchase day tickets. If you decide to do this, we recommend pre-purchasing them ahead of time (the summit has limited quantities and they do sell out) and your child can pick them up at the mountain.
DO I NEED TO BUY A SEASON PASS IF MY CHILD IS A BEGINNER AND WILL BE ON THE MAGIC CARPET?
Yes please, the Summit requires all skiers and boarders to have a seasons pass or lift ticket regardless of where they may be on the mountain.
WHERE CAN I RENT SKI EQUIPMENT FROM?
Alpine Hut and Seattle Ski and Snowboard are both great options.
We have a list of recommended equipment suppliers on our website equipment guide.
MY CHILD/CHILDREN HAVE NEVER SKIED/SNOWBOARDED BEFORE IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO PREPARE THEM?
The best thing for you to do to prepare your child/children is to be as organized as you can, see the points above, it will make the experience so much easier for you all. If you are renting equipment we recommend getting fitted a few weeks before classes start so its ready for the first lesson, maybe go to the Summit ahead of the lessons so you know how to get there, where we’re located, maybe even have a little go on the skis/board!
DO YOU OFFER ANY KIND OF DISCOUNT ON YOUR LESSONS?
No we do not, we are a non-profit organization and we’re offering the best price for our services. If you were interested in becoming an instructor for us one of the benefits is a discount on your child/children’s lessons.
HOW LONG DO THE CLASSES RUN FOR?
Friday Program – Our Friday programs run for 6 weeks and classes are 2 hours long.
IF THERE IS SEVERE WEATHER HOW DO WE FIND OUT IF YOU ARE OPERATING?
Please check to confirm we are operating before you set out to the mountain as winter weather can change hourly. Look at road conditions and check to ensure that the pass is open. There are three different ways to find out if we are operating:
Opt-in for Text Messages while registering so that we can push critical information to you.
Check the homepage of our website which displays our current operating status.
Call our office (425) 868-3820 and listen to the recorded message regarding our operating status. If you are part of one of our school programs we will notify your program coordinator, who will reach out to you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MOHAN POSTPONES A CLASS?
If we need to postpone a lesson during the season, we will automatically reschedule it for the week following the last week of classes. We will repeat this process until all the lessons have been completed. Please note that the decision to postpone a lesson is not made lightly; we take into consideration several factors, including weather conditions on the mountain and road conditions traveling to and from the Summit. The safety of our students is our number one priority, and this includes travel time as well. We will not cancel a class unless we really think it is necessary.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CAN’T MAKE IT FOR A CLASS DUE TO ILLNESS OR OTHER COMMITMENTS?
If you are unable to attend a lesson, please let your Program Coordinator know.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARE LATE FOR OUR CLASS?
Mohan operates the following lateness policy - If you are 15 or more minutes late to your lesson Mohan reserves the right to refuse you entry to your class for that day. Absences that result in missing your class 2 or more consecutive weeks will result in you forfeiting the remaining classes without a refund. If you are late less than 15 minutes, we will locate your class and take the student to their lesson. We ask all our customers to appreciate that the area where we teach our classes is vast consisting of several different ski chairs and slopes. Locating a class can not only be time consuming, but it also interrupts the lesson for the other students who have arrived on time.
WHAT IF MY CHILD IS INJURED OR FEELING UNWELL DURING CLASS?
All our instructors are equipped with walkie talkies so if at any point there is an accident, or a student becomes ill they will radio a supervisor for assistance. We also have an emergency number on hand for all our students and will contact you on that number to inform you of the situation, etc.
WE WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL OUR LESSONS WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
Prior to 3 pm on November 28th of the current season, participants may request, in writing, a refund for their lessons and/or transportation. Each refund will incur a $25 processing fee. After 3 pm on November 28th, all lessons and transportation are non-refundable, as financial commitments for insurance, staffing, administration, operations, and busing have been made.
If the program is not completed by April 30, a prorated credit will be applied towards the following season.“In the case of a force majeure (act of unforeseen circumstances) hindering Mohan Skiing and Boarding from completing the current season, NO refunds or credits will be owed. Funds will be used to pay our bills to keep us around for the following season, and remaining funds will be used for scholarships the following season.”
MY CHILD/CHILDREN HAVE TOLD ME THEY ARE BORED IN THEIR CLASS OR STRUGGLING TO KEEP UP WITH THEIR CLASS, HOW DO WE ADDRESS THIS?
The first step is to speak to your child’s instructor and let them know your son/daughter is not feeling challenged enough in class. They will then perform an assessment at the beginning of the next class to see if your child should be moved to the next level. The same procedure applies if your child is struggling to keep up. If you have further concerns, please email the office at: office@skimohan.com.
I CAN’T AFFORD THE LESSON PRICES, BUT MY CHILD/CHILDREN REALLY WANTS TO JOIN YOUR PROGRAM DO YOU OFFER A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM?
We do! We believe every child should have the opportunity to learn to ski or board and so we have the Marie Jose Scholarship program which you can find more information on the Maria Jose Scholarship page. Applications should be submitted before December 15, 2026.
